Xyriel promotes energy conservation in “Wansapanataym”

2012 Yahoo! OMG! Child Star of the Year Xyriel Manabat teaches the whole family this Saturday (August 25) about the value of conserving electricity in a special episode of “Wansapanataym.”

In the ‘KuryenTina’ episode, Xyriel plays the role of Tina, a girl who likes to waste electricity. Because of her bad habit, Haring Kidlat (Teddy Corpuz) decides to punish Tina and attacks her with lightning bolts, which gave her the power to absorb electricity. Will Tina and her neighbors finally learn to value and save electricity when Haring Kidlat returns to punish everyone who abuses it?

Together with Xyriel in the episode are Snooky Serna, Dexter Doria, Garie Concepcion, and Gerald Pesigan. It is written by Yam Tanangco and directed by Avel Sunpongco.

“Wansapanataym” is a part of ABS-CBN’s “Bida Best Kid” campaign launched recently that aims to empower children by encouraging them to become who they want to be and the best that they can be. It doesn’t only entertain and educate its young viewers with its values-oriented, child-friendly programs, but supports their dreams and aspirations as well.
