The Philippines has franchised one of the rivals to Simon Fuller’s Idol and Simon Cowell’s The X Factor. The Voice of the Philippines is expected to trend since many Filipinos are talented in terms of singing. It is the most-awaited reality singing search on ABS-CBN, which premieres on June 15,2013, Saturday. A primer of the show, “Mic Test,” will air on Sunday, June 9.
The blind auditions will be featured during the premiere on June 15.
The Voice’ blind auditions is the first televised stage on the voice, which is done in a manner that the judges should be seated on a chair that is turn the other way to the stage. The concept of the blind auditions is that the judges only judge the singing prowess of the auditionee. If “The Voice” of the auditionee was likable to the judge/s, the judge/s will push the bottom parallel to their chair to turn the chair around and become the auditionee’s mentor. If there is an instance where two or more judges pushed the button, the auditionee is the one who should be picking his/her mentor. If no coach turns his/her chair the auditioning artist’s journey ends. At the end, each of the coach will have 12 artists in his or her team who will be advancing to the next round.
The Voice of the Philippines is hosted by Toni Gonzaga and co-hosted by social media correspondents Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga.
Four coaches namely Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Mañalac, Lea Salonga, and Apl.de.Ap comprise the judging panel.
