“Happy Yipee Yehey” (HYY) holds its biggest and grandest beauty pageant on TV, the “My Girl” grand finals which will be aired this Saturday (February) live from the AFP Theater.
To grace this glamorous event is the Philippines’ legendary matinee idol Richard Gomez. The candidate will also be serenaded by the hailed Concert King Martin Nievera.
Twenty-four candidates from across the regions will battle it out for their dream pageant title. Who among Rose Ann de Jesus (Tarlac), Myka de Mesa (Pampanga), Koreen Medina (Quezon City), Jaymie Pagulayan (Isabela), Eileen Gonzales (Cavite), Ryza Quintana (Angeles City), Almira Hazel (Bulacan), Gail Penales (Indang, Cavite), Czarmaine Laoan (La Union), Princess Cahigas (Davao del Norte), Alyssa Encarnacion (Zambales), Lyka dela Cruz (Zambales), Ganiel Krishnan (Manila), Keena Sumido (Biliran), Leila Asaña (Caloocan City), Margo Midwinter (UK), Angelica Alita (Puerto Galera), CJ Bender (Silang, Cavite), Danica Santos (Nueva Ecija), Anne Lohfink, Daphne Tuazon (Pangasinan), Xzania Victa (Antipolo), Gianelli dela Cruz (Meycauayan, Bulacan), and Kimberly Briones (Laguna) will shine the most and be hailed the My Girl grand winner.
The program’s hosts Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Rico J Puno Pokwang, Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Manalo, John Pratts, Matteo Guidicelli, and Bentong, have also prepared truly entertaining performances.
The lucky “My Girl” title holder will receive a whopping P1-million cash prize and a chance to finally become a star through the Star Magic contract. The hailed Texter’s Choice will take home a brand new car from one of the show’s sponsors.
It can be recalled that during the pageant’s pre-finals, the candidates underwent intensive training from judges Joey Marquez, 2005 Binibing Pilipinas International Lara Quigaman, and modeling and beauty expert na si Jonas Gaffud. They also had a workshop under Star Margic’s director Rhyan Carlos.
The “My Girl” pageant is one of the most remarkable segments in “Happy Yipee Yehey,” alongside “Pera O Bayong,” “Ikaw Ang Bida,” “Batang Genius” and “Miss KB, which is also a pageant for housemaids. Recently, the show enthralled everyone when it launched its hilarious “Who’s That Girl” and “Felling Genius” segments. Like “Pera O Bayong,” “Susi Ng Kapalaran” has also hailed millionaires and jeepney winners.
