The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board recently placed TV5 noontime show “Wowowillie” on a three-month probation.
During its April 16 episode, one of the dancers wore provocative outfit and its cleavage went on full display that led for the said probation.
According to MTRCB chair Atty. Toto Villareal says thatthe probation will be applied “on a per episode basis”.
Meanwhile, MTRCB posted on microblogging site Twitter account says that TV5 and “Wowowillie” have already apologized for the violations. It added that the show will be given an SPG (Strict Parental Guidance) rating instead of the usual PG (Parental Guidance) starting on Monday.
The MTRCB had taken exception to the controversial dancer named Charm that led “Wowowillie” to a probationary period.
However, “Wowowillie” business unit head Jay Montelibano said in an interview that he and the production staff had already remedied the problem ahead of the meeting with the MTRCB on Monday morning.
“We already took the necessary actions. We altered the dancers costumes and reminded the cameraman to be extra cautious sa shots,” he said.
The MTRCB said TV5 and “Wowowillie” had promised “to submit further reform measures not later than 06 May 2013″.
As you can remember, “Wowowillie” were summoned last month by MTRCB, after host Willie Reviilame castigated co-hosts Ethel Booba and Ate Gay live on air after an altercation in the dressing room.
Revillame and “Wowowillie” staff undergo a gender sensitivity seminar after the incident.
