Miss World Philippines transfers to TV5

Miss World Philippines will be no longer be airing on GMA-7.

CQ Global Quest Inc. Chair and CEO and Miss World Philippines 2012 Pageant Director Cory Quirino has signed a deal with TV5 through TV5 President and CEO Atty. Ray Espinosa.

“Miss World Philippines is pleased to have found a new home in TV5 which secures the future of this prestigious pageant and strengthens the hope of every Filipina who holds the dream of becoming a beauty queen,” Quirino said.

The first Miss World Philippines pageant, which was aired on the Kapuso network crowned Gwendoline Ruias as winner. She was the Philippines’ representative in the Miss World 2011 where she finished 1st Runner-Up.

Miss World Philippines 2012 pageant night will be aired by TV5 in late June while the Miss World 2012 will also be aired on TV5 in August.
