Early this morning August 9, 2012 the water level in Marikina River was rising fast, which prompted local officials to forcibly evacute the residents near the Marikina River including Provident Village and Barangay Tumana.
“We have to forcibly evacuate people from their homes to prevent any casualty,” NDRRMC head Benito Ramos said in an interview on dzBB radio.
