Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli are joined by newcomer Xian Lim in upcoming movie ‘My Cactus Heart’. The film, follows the story of Sandy who finds it hard to fall in love, that is until Bene (Lim) and Karlo (Guidicelli) come along.
“Sa first quarter ipapalabas din ‘yung pelikula namin ni Matteo. Indie film din siya under Star Cinema, ‘My Cactus Heart,” said Salvador. “Kwento ng isang babae na matinik ang kanyang puso, ‘yung walang nakakalapit. Matinik ang puso niya, never pa naman siyang nagkakaroon ng boyfriend na ang tanong bakit ganoon, eh never pa naman siyang nagkaroon ng boyfriend,” she added.
Salvador who is in a real-life relationship with Guidicelli closes the year with optimism. “Sobrang masaya at napakaganda ng 2011,” she said.
“Yes may mga nangyaring ‘di maganda pero alam kong kailangan ko ‘yon para maging mas matibay ako,” she also adds referring to the controversies that surrounded her in the past year, including a fist fight between Guidicelli and actor Coco Martin. Salvador also adds, “Happy naman ako sa lahat po ng mga naging projects ko and ‘yung kinalabasan po ng mga nagawa kong proyekto, happy po ako. Sana this 2012 more projects pa [para] happy-happy lang.”
When asked about her hopes for the relationship with Guidicelli, she commented, “Maintain lang sana. Tahimik lang.”
‘My Cactus Heart’ is the first movie for both Xian Lim and Matteo Guidicelli. “This makes me smile just thinking about na may pelikula ako. It’s a dream come true and I can’t ask for more, it is a dream come true,” said Guidicelli in an interview.
Lim has already worked with Salvador and Guidicelli in the teleserye ‘My Binondo Girl’ where he plays Andy Wu. When talking about his TV role, he said “It feels good. Nakaka-happy, sobra ang feeling na ganon. All the hard work is paying off from all the shows na ibinigay, nagbubunga, so grabe. It’s an exciting feeling. I’ve always wanted it.”
Directed by Enrico C. Santos and produced by Star Cinema, the film also stars Ricky Davao, JM De Guzman, and Rosanna Roces.
My Cactus Heart is set to premier on January 25.
