Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez wowed the American Idol Season 11 judges again with her performance of a Jennifer Hudson song from the 2006 movie Dreamgirls.
According to judge Randy Jackson her version, however, has more of a Beyonce Knowles flavor than Hudson’s. Below are comments made by the judges
“Crazy crazy. Oh my God. Let me just say this… I don’t know what’s going on but what is really happening? That girl can really sing! I would say one of the best of the last two nights right there, Jessica Sanchez,” Randy Jackson said.
“That swagger, that attitude, the punctuation that you put with your body on the ends of your phrases and your notes and everything, the way you pull back, the way you let us have it, the whole thing is really really so…. on your year it’s just crazy. The growl, the soft spots, the yelling, all of it! All of it! All of it,” Jennifer Lopez added.
Tyler was equally amazed:” You got that exceptional timing. It comes out your fingers when you’re singing and making the turn-arounds. Your voice is perfect, your pitch is perfect.”
Host Ryan Seacrest joked “Where was that girl I’m talking to right here in the stools?”
Jessica was obviously very happy with the audience, the judges and Seacrest’s reaction on her performance.
