Han Geng won Favorite Asian Act at Nickelodeon KCA 2013

China’s Han Geng won the Favorite Asian Act at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2013. He beats South Korea’s Psy, Malaysia’s Shila Amzah and the Philippines’ Sarah Geronimo.

He was a former member of the popular South Korean boy band, Super Junior. In 2011, he left the group and since then pursue a solo career.

He was torch bearer for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and also recognized during the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards’ best worldwide act.

His career started when he was a child, he loves dancing. When he was 12, he left his family in Northeast China because he got accepted into the dance department of the Minzu University of China in Beijing. It was a well-known university designated for China’s ethnic minorities. He was a Nanai descent.

Meanwhile, a lot of people thought that Psy will win the said awards. On the other hands,
Geronimo’s fans been hopeful that their idol will get the award.

The said award was declared during the Asian broadcast of the awards ceremonies last March 25.
