Nationwide ratings leader GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) further strengthens its presence all over the country as it launches its newest originating TV station, GMA Northern Mindanao this January 2013.
GMA Northern Mindanao is the 3rd originating TV Station launched by GMA Network in just 8 months. Preceded by the successful launches of GMA Ilocos and GMA Bicol in June and August respectively, of 2012, GMA NORTHERN MINDANAO joins GMA’s growing number of originating stations with the widest coverage areas in their respective regions. GMA also has TV Stations in General Santos City and Bacolod City.
GMA Northern Mindanao is strategically located in Cagayan De Oro City and is expected to service over 1.4 Million TV Households, further widening the Network’s reach in Mindanao. To enable this, GMA invested over P70 million in state of the art studio, technical operations center, satellite multi link microwave system and electronic news gathering equipment.
GMA Northern Mindanao begins airing its much anticipated local newscast, TESTIGO NORTHERN MINDANAO on February 5. TESTIGO NORTHERN MINDANAO will air as part of GMA’s late afternoon Prime Block sandwiched between popular fantaserye PAROA and the new afternoon soap, FOREVER which stars Heart Evangelista, Geoff Eigenmann and Gloria Romero.
