ABS-CBN breaks new ground once again with the premiere of CGE TV IN DA LOOP, the first show of its kind on Philippine television. The program gives ordinary Filipinos the chance to be stars as it features the best online videos from www.cge.tv, the home of user-generated Pinoy content. Starting on April 23, 2012, Kapamilya viewers can tune in to Channel 2 from Mondays to Fridays at 12:30am to catch the best of the bunch. Viewers from around the world can also catch the livestream of CGE TV In Da Loop on the website.
CGE stands for Community-Generated Entertainment, which is why the site depends on CGEzens who sign up, create their own channels, and upload their own videos. The website’s content has also been airing in a variety of hosted and non-hosted shows at Sky Cable Digital Channel 72 since 2010. With CGE TV In Da Loop, television viewers, especially the youth, will be more encouraged to create their own channel and content and be seen on the Kapamilya network. An extended version of the show will also air on cable, and of course, on www.cge.tv.
The show will be hosted by six CGE Jocks who are ready to entertain Kapamilya viewers all over the world with their charm, wit, and crazy humor. Tune in every night to catch the CGE Jocks: JESSICA, whose effortless beauty and brains have elevated her to “crush ng bayan” status among CGEzens and beyond; EDU, the wild and totally freaked music lover; NIKKO, the sporty boy next door; CHACHA, the sexy DJ of 101.9 Tambayan fame; KUYA JOBERT, the crazy and comical uncle figure of the group, and ANNA, who started out as an ordinary CGEzen and went on to bag the title of CGE Star, the first online reality show of CGE TV.
Together, the CGE Jocks will bring you fresh, fun, and “Crazy Good Entertainment”, straight from the video cameras and smartphones of Filipinos here and abroad!
