For the past two decades, Landco Pacific Corporation has been building the ideal escape for today’s urban warriors. From rustic Spanish villas nestled on rolling hills to comfy beachfront get-aways overlooking azure waters, Landco has paved the way for Filipinos to experience a luxurious respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.
At the helm of the premiere real estate developer is Alfred Xerez-Burgos III, President and Chief Executive Officer. Coming from a family with an illustrious background in architecture and property management & development, Alfred fuses his fool-proof expertise in the real estate industry with the advantages afforded by modern technology, particularly the ground breaking Samsung Galaxy Note.
“I’m not really a techie person but I do recognize the fact that these gadgets have tremendously improved the way people go about their day to day activities,” Alfred reveals.
Alfred admits that he has a very hectic schedule. He starts his week monitoring Landco’s projects. “We have about 14 to 15 projects on-going at the same time,” states Alfred “and monitoring the progress of these projects practically takes the whole day.” To date, Landco has projects as far as Zamboanga in the south and all the way to Nueva Ecija in the north.
In addition, Alfred also meets frequently with their project partners and conducts site inspections in and out of Metro Manila.
Running on a tight schedule, Alfred keeps on track of his day to day agenda with the help of Samsung Galaxy Note’s smart organizer, S Planner. He also relies heavily on Galaxy Note’s high-speed HSPA+ Internet connectivity since he sends and receives a lot of e-mails each day.
“E-mail comprises about 80% of my usage. It is very useful and convenient especially if I’m out of town,” he says. “But when I have free time, I access various apps like Facebook, magazine subscriptions, maps, and others.” He also gets to enjoy all these applications with the Galaxy Note’s 5.3” HD super AMOLED display screen.
Alfred also extensively uses the Galaxy Note’s pressure sensitive S Pen input technology and high-definition 8-megapixel camera not just to take personal photos but also to document and annotate his site inspections, making sure his on-the-go inspirations are actually transformed into reality.
“When I see something wrong or have some concerns on a project during a site inspection, like landscaping, for instance, I would take a picture, scribble in my notes with the S Pen, and e-mail it to the people concerned so it can be addressed right away,” Alfred declares.
His keen eye for details has played a vital role in the success of Landco’s various projects. Together with his team of engineers, architects, landscapers, and interior designers, to name a few, Alfred saw it fit to bring Landco’s trademark interpretation of leisure living in the urban setting. In their latest residential condominium development in southern Metro Manila, Landco paid special attention to vast open areas where residents can relax and escape the stress of city life.
“It is so cramped in Metro Manila and everyone is yearning for his own space,” Alfred observes. “So in our newest condominium project, we built a series of buildings around a large open space so its residents don’t have to go far to commune with nature, bond with their families, and do lots of activities. A respite from stress is not just a want
anymore but a need, and this is what we aim to provide to our clients.”
Now how does that sound for Alfred Xerex-Burgos III’s big idea?
